Cruiser Safaris is located near the town of Lephalale (formerly Ellisras) in the Limpopo Province (formerly the Northern Province) of South Africa, about a 3½ - 4 hour drive from Johannesburg. South Africa, at the southern tip of the continent of Africa, has a total area of about 472,000 square miles. It is about twice the size of the state of Texas with a population of almost 45 million. The country is divided into 9 provinces with the Limpopo Province at the northern most point. It is a middle-income, developing country with an abundant supply of resources, a well-developed financial, legal, communication, energy and transportation sector, with a modern infrastructure.

The Hunting Terrain of the Limpopo Province:

The Limpopo Province, known as the Great North, is an area of beautiful and contrasting landscapes. From the true Bushveld country (“veld” in Afrikaans means field or grasslands)to majestic mountains, indigenous forests, unspoiled wilderness and a patchwork of farming land. It borders the countries of Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique and is home to the world famous Kruger National Park. In the Limpopo Province you will enjoy clear streams, rugged landscapes, fertile valleys, spectacular sunsets, soothing night sounds and incredible birdsong.

Cruiser Safaris hunting areas consist of two completely different landscapes. The Bushveld, characterized by open grasslands with scattered trees and bushes, and an area where the Bushveld rises to a series of high plateaus and low mountain ranges, with breath taking views and scenery. With 63% of all hunting, the Limpopo Province is considered the hunting capital of South Africa, supporting an astonishing abundant choice of species. The area is known for the massive Southern Greater Kudu it produces each season, with a top record book trophy being within every hunters reach. Southern Impala, Common Waterbuck, Blue Wildebeest, Blesbok, Klipspringer, Limpopo Bushbuck and Eland are found in abundance with excellent trophies recorded each season.
